Here is a guide on how to get access to source control

1. Download Visual Source Safe from MSDNAA

2. Set up a VPN connection

   a. Go to My Network Places -> View Network Connections 
-> Create a new connection

   b. 1. Click next 
      
      2. Click on connect to my network at my workplace

      3. Click on virtual private network connection

      4. Company name put "Ripples"(no quotes)

      5. Click on do not dial initial connection
   
      6. For host name or ip address put "snoopy.cs.umass.edu"(no quotes)

      7. Lastly add a shortcut icon on your desktop by checking 
it off on the last screen
    
      8. Click on the icon you just added.

         a. User name = manic
         b. Password = manic

      9. Make sure that this works before you continue on. 
MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS CLOSE THE CONNECTION WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED!

      10. Open up Visual SourceSafe
 
      11. I will email you your username and password.

      12. For the database put: "\\lucy\VSS\"(no quotes)

This should connect you. Let me know if you have any problems.
