Computer Science 575 / Math 513 - Spring 2012


NEW Homework pickup, last minute questions will be on Tuesday (5/8) from 11:30-2 at my office. Homework solutions for the term, along with answers to posted old final, will be up by mid-morning Monday.

NEW There is a brief attachment that summarizes the "UV" solution method for first order recurrences. It's at CourseResources.

NEW Homework assignments eleven and twelve - the final assignments - are now available at HomeworkAssignments.

NEW A previous final exam is now available at CourseResources. Exam answers at Final06Ans.

NEW The course final exam is on May 9 at 1:30 in LGRT 103 (Note: NOT in 301).

NEW The weekly 575/513 problem clinic is now set for Mondays, 4-5, in LGRC 310. Sessions start on January 30. Feel free to bring your musings about particular problems - or for that matter any questions about course material you might have - to these sessions.

The course textbook is

Applied Combinatorics, 5th edition - 2007 Alan Tucker Wiley. On sale (new and used) at Amherst Books, 8 Main St Amherst. The course covers all nine chapters of the Tucker text (see CourseSyllabus), along with some additional graph theory material.
