11/21 - HW7 is available on the
HomeWork7 page.
11/19 - Next Week. We will not have a discussion meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 25. However, we will do a discussion sheet in class on Tuesday Nov. 24.
11/18 - Final Exam. Our final exam will be on Friday 12/18 at 10:30 in LGRT 103. If you have a conflict, you must contact Prof. Lehnert no later than 12/10.
11/18 - Deadline for Make-Up Work. Students who have been given permission to hand in late HWs or discussion sheets must have all work in no later than Thursday Dec. 10. All questions about grading must also be resolved before Dec. 10. Our TAs will not be available for appointments or email conversations after Dec. 10.
11/18 - Submitting HW6. Send your HW6 archive to
lehnert@cs.umass.edu with the header CS187 HW6-xxxx where xxxx is the last four digits of your student ID#.
Also include a cc: to manju@cs.umass.edu as well.
11/15 - HW6 warns you not to use any arrays, ArrayLists, or LinkedLists. You should also not be using any Stacks, Queues, or any other non-recursive data structures. The point is to just use tree structures. You don't need any classes other than BinaryTree, BinarySearchTree, BSTBasedPasswordDirectory, PasswordEntry, PDGUI6, and PDUserInterface6. Also note that #4 in the second half of HW6 (Using the BinarySearchTree class) requires you to write your own showTree method for the BSTBasedPasswordDirectory class.
11/11 This week's discussion sheet is online. Go to
DiscussionSheet10 to complete a worksheet on binary trees.
11/11 HW5 grades are now available on the
Hw5Grades page.
11/8 Wednesday, Nov. 11, is a holiday (Veterans Day) so there will be no discussion meeting and no Consulting Room hours on Wednesday.
11/6 HW6 is due on Thursday Nov. 19. Please see the
HomeWork6 page for instructions.
